Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre

Come visit one of the Banff-Jasper region's prime tourist attractions, and a number of the regions best adventure activities. The Columbia Glacier Discovery Centre is the first stop on all of your Columbia Ice field and Athabasca Glacier adventures. Start with the Banff Gondola, where you’ll ride up to a number of restaurants, a multisensory theatre, and a 360-degree panorama of the mountains and glaciers. Then, take the hour-long Banff Lake Cruise on Lake Minnewanka, the park’s largest lake and home to a number of animals. Then, take the giant Ice Explorer bus onto the famous Athabasca Glacier itself before stepping over the 900-foot cliff at the Glacier Skywalk.
