In 1850, when an intrepid visitor journeyed up Blue Mountain and left his initials in the cave known today as Fern Cavern, the trip would have been an adventure indeed. Now, owner Rob Thorburn is working to build on that heritage with even more exciting activities at the popular attraction. Scenic Caves offers more than simply thrilling caves… more than spectacular scenery and awe-inspiring views… more than unspoiled nature.

“Today, we offer a lot more than the Scenic Caves of yesteryear, and we wanted our name to reflect that,” says Thorburn. “Now we’re Scenic Caves Nature Adventures.”

My family takes a trip to Blue Mountain area about every two years. Each time we do we always visit the Scenic Caves. We started off visiting it because I had a fascination with rocks and still visit it because of all the fun and exciting adventures it still has to offer us, for instance last year my dad and I went zip lining there for the first time and had a blast. I definitely recommend visiting the Scenic Caves, there is something fun for every age.

Here I am at a lookout point in Collingwood, ON at the Scenic Caves. This picture shows the beautiful scenery here in Canada and the gorgeous lakes. The view at this lookout makes me proud to live in Canada. We are so lucky to have clean air and water plus beautiful landscapes. I am inspired by nature and all that it has to offer. I feel a sense of belonging and the view gives me ideas for paintings and drawings.
The Scenic Caves are a tourist destination and I have connected with the many different cultures that come here. Being in nature and connecting with the different cultures has partly shaped who I am today.
Canada offers beautiful views and tourist attractions that bring different cultures together. Our soldiers fought for our freedom and Canada is a beautiful and safe Country to live in. I am very proud to be Canadian!

I love the scenic caves. You pay a small fee, but you are exposed to a whole new world. It's a nice walk and you get to also sit in the Muskoka chairs by the water, or you can even zipline if you like.
