Absolute Towers (Marilyn Monroe Towers)

Absolute Towers (Marilyn Monroe Towers)

50-60 Absolute Avenue, Mississauga, Ontario

In 2006, Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion announced the fourth tower of "Absolute World" would be designed through an international design competition. This was the first time in 40 years that an international design competition was held by a private development group for a building to be built in the Greater Toronto Area after the Toronto City Hall contest. Out of over 92 entries, the Marilyn Monroe Towers were announced the winners.

These towers really break apart the boxy skyline. It's great to see some creativity in the design, rather than a cookie cutter condo.
