Opened in 2003, Bird Kingdom is not only the biggest aviary in Canada, it's the largest free flying indoor aviary in the world! This site is now home to almost eighty different species of birds of all different sizes and colours, as well as an array of reptiles, mammals and arachnids. Get up close and personal with our feathered friends, as the vast majority of these birds fly free within the building. A must for anyone visiting the nearby Niagara Falls!

  • Highly Recommned!

Highly recommend the Bird Kingdom. Walking distance from Clifton hill and most hotels offer a discount for admission. Not to expensive and an amazing experience. Highly recommend feeding the birds and purchasing the necture when you do so. We had at least 30 birds land on us during feeding. If you have little, no birds bothered us while walking through bird kingdom so they should be alright!

Unfortunately, I did not get to spend much time at the bird Kingdom. I was visiting Ontario from Alberta with my 2 young daughters, and after a long day, we were not able to spend as much time here as we hoped! From what we did get to see, this place is extraordinary, and if we ever make it back to Ontario, we will be going here for sure (at the beginning of the day this time)!

There were many colourful birds, most free-flying. There was also a little informational show. There were other animals as well, including tortoises. However, the one tortoise seemed quite depressed and was rubbing against the side of the enclosure.

Many years ago before it opened I help unload the tracker trailers of the old wood from the amazon, I have never been in side after that. But would love to take the kids
