I believe this was my favourite museum in Ottawa when I was in Grade 6 - even amongst all the museums we visited. I was especially impressed by the dinosaurs, which seem to be looking down on me!

This was a favourite on my grade 8 school trip!

  • All the dinosaurs!
    guestBook Guestbook/ Naluukti/ Aug 13, 2016

This is one of the best museums in the country, in a city with several of the others. Every time I go, however, I end up playing a game of Would eat/Haven't eaten/Would not eat through most of the galleries. Be sure to check out the blue whale skeleton, the crab that will fuel your nightmares, and say hi to the ghost for me!

  • Nature galore
    guestBook Guestbook/ sammy0261/ Feb 9, 2016

I love this museum. Especially the dinosaur exhibit because there is one spot that is hands on. The live fish in another exhibit is also really fascinating. When I went I got to touch a starfish

  • I <3 jelly fish and nature
    guestBook Guestbook/ Rabiahakim/ Nov 21, 2014

Love the jelly fish exhibition taking place at the Canadian Museum of Nature!

This museum has outdone itself with the renovations!

  • Love the glass
    guestBook Guestbook/ Bilalhakim/ Nov 21, 2014

This museum's renovation brightened up the place dramatically. Really like the giant jelly fish

  • one of my first adventures here

When we moved here to Ottawa, we went to the Museum of Nature first. We're both science people, so this was a treat.

The glass lantern above the main entrance was constructed to replace the glass tower that had to be taken down between 1915 and 1916 because of:

A fire. Unstable ground. A crack in the glass.
