I loved Cave and Basin! Amy (guide) was super knowledgeable and told us all about the natural history of the site, as well as some of the current ecological studies that are ongoing on this property. Believe it or not, someone is sent out on a regular basis to get to know the trees and check what has fallen over/been damaged!

Pause. Take a breath and feel the mountain air rush through your lungs. Shake off the city, shake off all the daily stress. Look. Allow yourself to melt in to the beauty around you, to feel like a pebble next to the mountains, to feel as calm and free-flowing as the river. Feel as tall as the spruce tress, let yourself belong next to the bald eagles that soar around you. Experience the Cave and Basin Historical Site in all its wonder, beauty, and awe.
