Downtown Markham Centre is located in the heart of Markham's newly developed downtown. It is a mixed-use development containing a wide range of entertainment facilities such as the Cineplex Cinemas and VIP and a variety of dining experiences. It also contains a square where events such as the broadcasting of the 2016 Summer Olympics and festivals such as the Markham Jazz Festival. The aim of the centre is to bring Markham's community together by providing a place where people can gather to enjoy Markham's new urban centre.
