This Building Is A Good Example Of The Modern Style Buildings Constructed In The Post Wwii Boom In The West End Of Calgary's Downtown. It Featured; Symmetrical Facade, Large Flat Wall Surfaces, Defined Vertical Glazing And Brick Spandrels On The Upper Levels, And Large Aluminum Frame Windows Surrounded By 'emerald Pearl Norwegian' Granite Panels On The Ground Level. It Was One Of Three Banks Built To Serve The Oil & Gas Sector. It Is Illustrative Of The Banking Industry's Westward Movement Along 8Th Avenue Into The Dynamic Oil & Gas Headquarter Buildings.
