The one place that really stands out from all the places I've visited in Canada is Muskoka. During my childhood, my family would take yearly trips to Muskoka to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful Canadian landscape - especially the breathtaking fall foliage that brings people from all corners of the world to marvel in the beauty that Canada is blessed with.

This picture was taken from a hammock at Foxwood Resort, where I have fond memories of lying in the hammock, without a care in the world, watching the kayaks and paddleboats go by as the sun shimmers softly on the beautiful lake. Being in a place of natural beauty is where I always go to feel inspired and whole. Whenever I visit Muskoka, I feel the same wholesome sense of belonging to this beautiful country and the beautiful people in it.

There is no place like Muskoka in Canada, it is both beautiful and breathtaking. Just two hours North of Toronto, Ontario this district is easily accessible to the inquisitive traveller. It is always a place of peace and tranquility whenever I am there, allowing me to reconnect with nature. A place away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it is a sanctuary to slow down and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Naps in the afternoon are common place, long canoe rides and the amazing cottage sunsets all play a part in enabling one to relax and be at peace with all that nature has to offer. I smile uncontrollably as I ponder the beautiful scenery which makes me proud to call Canada my home. Such magnificent beauty has a way of calming you down and drawing you in. All of life's worries and pressures seem to melt away and I feel that I am right in the centre of where I belong. My mind is clear, free of distractions and I realize that I have a fresh new inspiration to refocus my goals, realign my life and press on to overcome obstacles that I previously did not see a way around. When I am here, I am free and unrestrained to become exactly who and what I was created to be. There is no place like Muskoka in Canada, quite marvelous in its splendour. It is truly a place to let go of all inhibitions and fully realize one's greatest potential, a definite must see destination spot for every Canadian or visitor to Canada.

I am 18 years old. My Name is Daniel and I grew up in Driftwood Jane and Finch with 4 brothers being raised by a single parent. Here is a picture of me when I got to go fishing at Muskoka Camp in Toronto Ontario for the first time in my life, I was so excited that day on May 21 2013, which is the day i attended the camp. I will never forget my first fishing experience there. This picture relates to my canadian identity because one of my favorite things to do is simply go fishing and Im sure alot of other canadians love that. Fishing is a great activity in Canada and enjoyed by many. I really hope I can win this money to have enough atleast to make through my first year of university because my mom is struggling with rent and she doesnt think she would be able to pay the first year for, and i need extra money to help out with my situation.

    God Bless
