A place of knowledge and ideas, Musée de la civilisation takes a fresh and often unexpected look at the human experience. With original and bold exhibitions, the Museum transports children and adults into the great cities of the world, fascinating ancient civilizations, significant sociocultural movements and the heart of Quebec society. Set in Old Quebec, Musée de la civilisation is a leading cultural experience for every family in the area and a top tourist attraction for visitors on vacation.

Located in the heart of Quebec city, the museum of civilisation makes a great day trip for all ages. Its three permanent exhibits are presented in such a way that they appeal to a diverse audience while still being informative. However, this museum is set apart from others by the creativity and originality of its temporary displays. When I visited my particular favourite was the exhibit on mouvement where visitors dress up and test their rhythm by dancing in the style of famous contemporary Quebecois choreographer Jean-Pierre Perreault.
