The Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver is one of the most beautiful sites in Canada. Featuring both indoor and outdoor exhibits showcasing artwork, buildings, tools, clothing, and other cultural objects of different peoples around the globe, this museum is truly a must-see for any young Canadian looking for more information about his or her heritage!
UBC Museum of Anthropology houses one of the world’s finest displays of Northwest Coast First Nations art in a spectacular Arthur Erickson designed building overlooking the mountains and ocean. It also features extensive collections from around the world as well as a wide range of temporary exhibitions, guided tours, and other public events.
In addition to art displays, the MOA has programs offering a dynamic range of events for the general public ranging from lectures, films and screenings, to dance and musical performances and workshops. Education programs are specially designed for elementary and secondary students. We offer on-going programs focusing on the Northwest Coast First Peoples and special exhibition programs designed around the themes of our temporary exhibitions.
