Pembina Trail Library

The 13,143 sq. ft. Pembina Trial Library opened September 22, 1987, replacing a bookmobile which had been located in the parking lot of the Fort Richmond Shopping Centre for many years. A "Name Your Library" contest was held prior to the opening and Pembina Trail was selected from the many entries received. This name "commemorates the trail's historic role in the development and expansion of Canada's western settlements."
