Peter Pitseolak High School

We are a grade 7-12 school located in the community of Cape Dorset, Nunavut. We have about 153 students and a staff of about 22.

Over the years, a number of teachers have taught here. Many have left with great memories. For teachers who have found success here, teaching is not just a job. Teaching is what they are. Their school involvement does not end with the day's last school bell, but continues into after school and community activities. If you are that kind of a teacher, Cape Dorset might be the place for you.

Through our commitment to the Inuit Qaujimajatqangit (IQ) principles, the mission of Cape Dorset's District Education Authority is to ensure all our students will develop the skills, confidence and cultural pride required to pursue their dreams, realize their ambitions, become lifelong learners and contribute to their community.
