Don't Blink or You'll Miss it!
This quaint hamlet is situated in the Cariboo Mountains of Central BC. What started out as a corporation mining town has transformed over the years to be a haven for artists and history buffs alike. Surrounded by meadows and lakes, Wells can supply an adventurous getaway or a peaceful visit in the middle of nature. It's also the home of Arts Wells, a festival of all things art that takes place during the August long weekend and draws large crowds.
During my visit , I was surprised to see that this small town was also a foodie paradise! Lakeside tacos, great coffee at Cariboo Espresso, and a selection of whisky at The Pooley Street Hotel Pub that could trump any large city centre. Was pleasantly surprised by this small town. It's also a stonesthrow away from Bowron Lake and Barkerville Historic Park. -
