The Steam Clock in Gastown downtown Vancouver is very beautiful. when you get up close to the clock you can see the pretty flowers on the clock face, the song is plays is charming and i got a great history lesson about it from a lovely homeless person nearby.

This is a picture I took of Sunset Beach Park, Vancouver BC. At the time this image was taken I was still very new to Vancouver, I had just earlier that week moved to Vancouver for schooling. One day my roommates and I wanted to check out the downtown Vancity scene so we got on the Skytrain and got off at Stadium - Chinatown station. we were trying to get to Gastown which was in all respects easier to find and in closer proximity than where we found ourselves. Somehow we found ourselves in Yaletown. for anyone who knows the geography of downtown Vancouver as well as we did Yaletown is on the opposite shore. But what we found in Yaletown was a beautiful beach. We bought ice cream, sat on the driftwood and called the adventure a success.

The reason I chose this image to portray my Canadian identity is because this image reminds me of a great adventure with good company. Canada is a vast land full of life. As a Canadian I believe that the many landscapes of Canada should be explored, fun is to be had and memories are to be made. That is what Canada means to me.
