Rouge Beach

Located at the mouth of the Rouge River -which winds itself through the largest urban park in North America- the Rouge Beach is nearby a marsh that provides a home for various wildlife. The Rouge Beach Park, as Canada’s first national urban park, is considered one of Toronto’s “best kept secrets”, as it features picturesque scenery that is both calming and impressive at all times of the year.


Rouge Beach Park is a great place to go hiking, biking, running, as well as partake in many other outdoor activities; it is also close to Toronto’s only camping ground. Also interesting to note is that directly east of the beach is the Pickering Nuclear Power Plant, one of the largest nuclear power plants in the world.
