  • A shame they were closed this year

With recent flooding the islands were closed this year (2017). What a shame! I think they're so unique and vibrant. I first found out about them from a TV show (Private Eyes starring Jason Priestly) and decided I'd go to visit them the next time I had a chance. I love the variety of people who live there, and how they express their personalities.

Almost every Torontonian can reminisce over a past memory of going to the Toronto Islands as a child, with children or with a bunch of friends. And if they haven't gone, they have certainly attempted to plan to go or have simply thought of such. The views seen from here allow one to observe Toronto from a respectable distance and gaze upon the landmarks. Centreville is also another great attraction of this place with all the classic rides. Nothing beats coming to the Islands during the summer.

  • Been to the Toronto Islands many time.

Great place to cruise (boat) around. Visit the Centreville Amusement park for young kids.
Excellent to picnic. Watch the Dragon Boat Races.
While at Harbourfront Camp, my son canoed and kayaked there often.

  • Nice view of Toronto

Anyone who is visiting Toronto should hop on the ferry to the island for a nice panoramic of the city. This is where you can snap one of those postcard-inspired pictures of the city's skyline! Aside from the view, there are so many things to do: go the beach, bike, enjoy a nice stroll, or picnic. It is a family-friend place to be.
