Trent University has been my home for many years. It should be considered an example of how humanity and nature can coexist. Throughout the campus, you can spot green roofs and areas created to encourage students to sit outside to enjoy nature. The school also owns a lot of surrounding land that they have preserved for trail walkers and protected as a nature reserve.
This is a photograph of a Tamarack tree at Trent University, in Peterborough, ON. Through this photo, we get a sense of Canada's beautiful natural resources. The abundance of trees here provides clean air for those in Canada, as well as homes for wildlife. The different colours in the sky through the tree branches also add to the natural beauty of this photo. By acknowledging that this picture was taken at a university in Canada, we see that students here have the opportunity to learn beyond classrooms. Students are able to go out in nature and explore the trees and wildlife right in their own backyard. That's what Canada is all about.
