    We have been to lots of events here including several Toronto green fairs. But tonight we were just being silly and my husband simply photographed me trying to get a drink from one of the fountains.

    Showing Canada's colourful diversity, Yonge-Dundas Square is filled with people sharing a sense of belonging, connectivity, and electricity. I could feel it in the air as the performers took the stage, the crowd around me pushing closer to the front, closer to each other, closer to me. We were all here for the same purpose and we knew that. We were here for the music, the culture, the atmosphere. We were here for each other in the proof of numbers that there is support all around and love in every direction. Together, we are strong; we are proud; we are Canadian.

    This place has been inspired by other places in the world and you can do several things, in just one place! If you get the chance, I definitely recommend going skating at Nathan Phillips Square.

    Yonge-Dundas Square is one of Canada's busiest intersections serving over 100,000 pedestrians daily. Being in the heart of Toronto, the people that occupy Yonge-Dundas Square are mutli- cultural and diverse. Being Canadian is knowing that we live in a country where we are all different but we are all united. It doesn't matter if we're black, white, asian etc, its knowing that we are all part of the same race, The Human Race. Being in Yonge-Dundas Square helped me realize part of being Canadian is to be different. Who says Canadians means to love hockey and say "eh". Being Canadian is to be diverse and united. Being at Yonge-Dundas Square makes me feel that way, seeing happy people from different backgrounds all in the same place living in unity. That's what it truly means to be Canadian.

    The Square was seemed pretty quiet for the day or time of day, but very reminiscent of Times Square in New York and Picadilly Square in London.
