Youth Centre: Dauphin Friendship Centre Aboriginal Youth Hub Project

210 1st Ave NE, Dauphin, Manitoba
(204)638-4799
http://www.dauphinfriendshipcentre.com/

The youth centre is open to youth ages 6 to 24, providing them with a safe, friendly atmosphere and a chance to participate in activities they might not otherwise have access to.
The Youth Council, participants and staff work together to plan and implement indoor and outdoor sports events. Tournaments and recreational activities for youth include gym nights, skating, bowling, baseball, football, swimming, hiking, camping and fishing.

The cultural component of our youth program includes our pow wows, square dancing, drum groups, and fiddling programs. We also work with elders to plan activies such as arts and crafts, traditional teachings, medicine harvesting, making traditional regalia, and participation in ceremonies.
