Love this art gallery! I was fortunate enough to see the Mystical Landscapes exhibit with paintings by Monet and Van Gogh!

Through the arts program at my school, my class was fortunate to visit the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit earlier this year. His works were truly breathtaking not just for the physical brush strokes but for the deep meaning behind each piece. He focused on such prominent issues that affected society then and was able to display this on canvas using solely a few colours of paint and his abundance of creative imagination.

As someone who loves the city, often there are times where you need a place that's quiet and different from the hustle and bustle. Spending a few hours in the AGO is definitely one of my favourite places to find this "escape". Without even having to leave the city, I am able to transport into a new world of not only peace but also artistic culture. If ever in the area, you should definitely allocate an hour or so to enjoying the art.
