Canadian Museum of History

100 Laurier street, Gatineau, Quebec
http://www.historymuseum.ca/

Designed by Metis architect Douglas Cardinal, the Canadian Museum of History is a place for discovery, both inside and out. The museum’s architecture reveals the Canadian landscape as it was when humans first arrived — with the Canadian Shield, Great Plains, rivers and lakes emerging from receding glaciers. Step inside and you can discover the people and history of Canada in the museum’s exhibits, or take in a movie at the IMAX theatre.

This is such an amazing museum! The variety of exhibits is great, and the displays are well-presented. I love that things are clearly kept up to date - new research has been clearly added, nothing looks "dated", and refurbishment is evident everywhere.

I was there on Canada day. It was crazy. A line up to get into the newly opened Canada exhibit. Me and my friends enjoyed the music outdoors and listening to Prime minister's trudeaus speech at parliament hill. People were on stilts in the totem pole room. The energy was unbelievable.

I love the architecture on the outside of this museum. The kids museum is also really fun to walk around with a passport. I'm still doing it at 20 collecting all the stamps. My favourite part of the museum is the section that is now closed until 2018. I loved walking through the place and feeling like I'm outside and in a different place.

I love this place, especially right at the entrance. I love how their are many flags and there are many sections to the museum. It is also very informative and I love learning about the Natives.
