One of the most magical experiences in the dark months of winter is Zoominescence: A Festival of Light. The Valley Zoo hold a beautiful winter festival where they string up lights on the trees, festive decorations and displays and hold all sorts of activities as well such as skating, photo booths, and other animal-oriented activities. Their team of volunteers are always friendly and helpful, and the cheer you feel just from walking through has made it one of my most favourite family activities.

Not only is the Edmonton Valley Zoo an amazing place for children, I, as a teenager, had an extremely great time just looking at all the different animals and activities that the zoo has to offer!

As Canadians we like to look at life in a more democratic perspective; working together in harmony is what we believe will get us to achieve our collective goals - a goal of having a multicultural community coexisting together creating a strong unifying feeling amongst Canadians. In this photo I have taken - a picture of a dam built by beavers - it is highlighting the positive connotations that come with team work. This emphasizes Canadians ability to build and create many achievements when there is the presence of a collective effort and responsibilities. Like beavers, Canadians need eachother to be able to "build a dam," and maintain its stability for we hold a mentality that is based off of our favourite saying "one for all and all for one."
