The Château Frontenac, operated as Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, is a hotel in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, famous for being the most photographed hotel in the world. Prior to the establishment of a hotel, the site held the Château Haldimand, home of British colonial governors. The original Château Frontenac was built in 1893 and has since been expanded and renovated, even being partially destroyed by fire in 1926 and rebuilt.
A note for photographers : the best place to take a picture of this Château is not within Quebec City but across the river in Lévis.
