My visit to The Government house

Having been in Regina for some time now, I stumbled across the government house and decided to check it out.

I think its super cool, and I really enjoyed walking around and seeing everything, with being part of a group that reenacts medieval times I can appreciate taking a "step" back in time.

I look forward to bringing my kids for a visit here

Welcome to Government House, a true Canadian treasure! Built in 1891, this grand building first served as the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of the Northwest Territories. Restored to the period of Lieutenant Governor Amédée Forget, the museum gives you a glimpse of life at Government House at the turn of the 20th Century.

Government House is a multi-purpose Heritage Facility that also serves a modern purpose - since 1984, Government House has been home to the Lieutenant Governor’s working office. Throughout the year, Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Solomon Schofield hosts several events, award ceremonies and visitors at Government House.
