True or False. The Grange was built in 1817 as the home of D’Arcy Boulton Jr., his wife, Sarah Anne, and their eight children. It was located on one hundred acres of land that extended from Queen Street in the south to Bloor Street in the north and from Beverley Street east to McCaul Street.
True FalseToronto has a shocking amount of parks and green space... but this is one of my favourites. Since I normally visit the Art Gallery and then walk around the area until my feet are falling off, this provides a great respite. There are lots of little bodegas nearby where you can grab lunch and make a picnic in the park. It is well-maintained, so no worries about gross, trash-ridden grass here!
And old original city park, right next to one of the coolest buildings in Toronto, the Ontario College of Art and Design.
We had so much fun with TDSB students who took part in our Sprout Ideas camp! The Explore150 App Challenge was a hit. I now have a different connection with Grange Park as it is the first time we have incorporated Explore150 as part of a summer camp and we hope to expand this approach!
From my experience in Grange Park through Explore 150, I enjoyed learning a variety of facts about the site. Hence the name, "Explore 150" using this app as well as answering trivia questions in relation to Grange Park. This was a fun opportunity to mix in technology with the outdoors.
