  Having been born in Toronto and only having gone on vacation to other countries come my March and summer breaks, I would have never known such natural beauty was right here in my very own country. On my family's road trip across the east of Canada a few years back, this was definitely the highlight. The rocks eroded by the incoming tides are a thing of absolute wonder. It makes me wonder how long these rocks will stay standing what with the rising water levels and constant erosion of the rock formations. A definite site to add to your bucket list!

  It's absolutely awe-inspiring to stand on the ocean floor looking up at the flowerpots; that are the Hopewell Rocks. If you're heading to the east coast, I highly recommend visiting the rocks!

  Hopewell Rocks really impresses me, especially during low tide. The flower are beautiful and you feel so small standing next to them. This is one place to see one of Mother Nature's greatest enchantment.

  I am a Canadian born, first generation citizen with immigrant parents, who came to Canada for a better life. They chose Canada for its opportunities across this vast land. My parents wanted to explore this magnificent land, I am proud to call home, and decided upon touring the Maritimes because of its magical and historic appeal. We toured many attractions starting from the enchanting, century built downtown Montréal, to the 'edge' of the ravishing red beaches in Prince Edward Island. Although all the places we visited were absolutely stunning, my favourite was Hopewell Rocks. Ten years old at the time, my sister and I could only have dreamt about discovering a place where giant sandcastles existed, which were created from the gentle waters of the Bay of Fundy. We spent the day exploring the ocean floor, discovering the many coves, and watched as the tide rose, slowly causing the formations to disappear. It was truly an incredible and unique experience that I will always remember. It was also educational, as I learned about influences on the tides, the animals, as well as the natural and cultural history of New Brunswick. Through experiencing the magic Hopewell Rocks, along with the many other attractions throughout my trip, I connected with the land and discovered more of Canadian Heritage. I am proud to live in a country as magnificent as Canada, and plan on touring the West coast in the future, hoping it brings as much joy as did the Maritimes.

• My true paradise

  The place I visited in Canada that made me a proud Canadian was the Bay of Fundy, at the Hopewell RocksFew places on Earth are as awe-inspiring as New Brunswick’s Bay of Fundy. A visit to this special place will reward you with magnificent tides, breathtaking coastline and endless adventure. I fell in love with this place and whenever I can, I also gather a group of friends and family to go there. It is amazing!

• Going Deep

  Growing up in Ottawa, I was never exposed to the Ocean a whole lot. However, a couple years ago, my family went to PEI and on the way, we stopped at Hopewell Rocks. I researched the Hopewell Rocks and most of the pictures that came up looked like the picture attached. It was during high tide and there were people kayaking. I didn't think much about the Hopewell Rocks and imagined it to just be a pretty "scenery". However, when we arrived, it was during low tide (my parents knew more about it and timed it well!) and approaching the beach of Hopewell Rocks, I realized how amazing it really was! The sand underneath my feet was nice and soft and there were so many sea creatures everywhere! Seeing the beautiful rocks and how huge they were, I realized that there was so much more to Hopewell Rocks than just rocks in the middle of the ocean. There was so much life everywhere that you would not see if it were high tide when the water covered the beach. Everything was so beautiful and seeing all the life that I never imagined there was made me realize that life is so much more than you think. Life is more than just skimming the surface and getting a little sample of the 'scenery' but if you delve deep into life, you'll find so much more meaning, happiness and joy. The picture attached reminds me that if you look past the water, and you delve deep, you'll find life everywhere. Life is full of surprises and unless you go deep, you will never experience the true joy and happiness you were meant to experience.
