At the entrance to Jacques-Cartier Park stands Never Give Up!, a statue of Maurice “The Rocket” Richard, who was one of Canada’s all-time greatest hockey players. The park beyond is one of the Capital Region’s main festival sites, playing host to the celebrations for thousands of visitors during Winterlude and Canada Day. It also provides a break from the bustle of the city. Ride your bike or stroll along the recreational pathway by the river and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views of the Ottawa River and Rideau Falls.

Jolie parc sur le bord de la rivière Outaouais avec une petite plage tranquille et bien cachée, faisant face aux chutes Rideau et à la résidence du Premier Ministre du Canada.

Lovely place to go in the winter. Giant slides to go down and play areas for kids. Also a lot of educational spots to learn about natives and such. Don't forget to stop for some sugar on a stick!

JAcques-Cartier Park is well known for hosting activities and festivals like Canada Day in the summer and Winterlude in the winter. But it is also a beautiful park for picnics and to bicycle along the river.
