Parksville and Errington (15 min to the north) occupy a flat stretch of land between the ocean and the mountains. Right in the middle of this plain is Little Mountain, an aptly named mound of rock towering over the landscape. It has beautiful oceanview homes, and you can drive to a tower at the top, where there is a gorgeous mountainside view atop a series of dangerous cliffs.

    The view from Little Mountain is awesome, and you don't even have to walk to the top; you can drive! Of course, you can walk if you want too, and the trails are nice.
