I visited the cathedral last week and it was really beautiful. It reminded me of churches in Europe due to its older look. It is also super cool that it is in the middle of downtown!

A peine arrivé dans l'église, je me suis fait aborder or un itinérant de Montréal. Manifestement, il avait besoin d'aide, mais peu de pèlerin lui portait attention. Il a quitté en maugréant.

Sinon je reste du bâtiment est tout à fait sublime. Fort choyé davoir visite cet endroit pour la première fois. Merci explo150

Just arrived in the church, I made a tackle or traveling to Montreal . Obviously he needed help , but little pilgrim paying attention to him . He left grumbling .

J'ai trouvé la cathédrale magnifique et majestueuse en y entrant. C'est une véritable réplique de la cathédrale qui trône au Vatican. La version miniature de Saint-Pierre de Rome et qui m'a rappelé de beaux souvenirs!

I found the beautiful and majestic Cathedral in entering. This is a true replica of the cathedral that dominates the Vatican. The miniature version of St. Peter in Rome and that reminded me of beautiful memories !

Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral is a minor basilica in Montreal,Quebec, Canada, and the seat of the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Montreal. It is the third largest church in Quebec after St. Joseph's Oratory (also in Montreal) and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré east of Quebec City.

The sacrament of baptism is celebrated in the small chapel. The marble baptismal font is surmounted by an impressive stucco crucifix sculpted by Philippe Hébert. The crucifix is one of the most important pieces of religious sculpture in Quebec.
