So much has gone in this building - it will always be the CHUM City building to me!. Growing up, I used to peak in the windows to watch them film Electric Circus or watch the people rant in the Speaker's Corner booth. I remember when Breakfast Television and CityLine were broadcast from inside ( and outside) this building. Now, I still catch the Marilyn Dennis show which uses one of the studios here -- and being in her studio audience is on my 'bucket list'.

The Much Music Headquarters has been in my heart since I was eight years old. The sense of belonging and feeling like you have a voice was the best part about it. Much Music brings Canada a different side of music. It allows people to tune in and hear their favorite songs and to watch their favorite music videos. Much music has brought hope that our message can be sent and that our voice can be heard. When I first visited the Much Music building in 2008 I couldn't help but want to be a part of what they were doing. They were spreading the word. About music. About opinions and about Canada. At eight years old I was inspired to be the person to stand up and have a voice in my country and that has taught me to be proud to be a Canadian. Now when I visit the headquarters I feel a sense of connection to the people who bring the inspiration. Everyday when I turn on Much Music I am connected. I am inspired and I am Canadian.

Although this building doesn't exist anymore, I think it's an integral location to media items that Toronto youth are most familiar with. It brings attention to the cultural and social hot spot that Toronto is to the rest of the world.

Standing at the former site of speaker's corner, I am taken back to a time where I couldn't stop laughing at the random musings of strangers on television. #memoriez
