Monday to Friday : 8am to 4:30pm Saturday: 8am to 4pm Sunday : 12:30pm to 4pm

An immense stone church built in the Romantic Gothic Revival style, it was upon completion the largest church in either Canada or the U.S. for half a century. Unusual for a church, the stained glass windows along the walls of the sanctuary do not depict biblical scenes, but rather scenes from the religious history of Montreal. It also has a Casavant Frères pipe organ, dated 1891, which comprises four keyboards, 92 stops using electropneumatic action and an adjustable combination system, 7000 individual pipes and a pedal board.

We were so fortunate to be staying in a hotel right beside the Basilica. We saw it at various times during the day but this was the first time I had been there to see it lit up at night......spectacular!

This church is absolutely stunning. My favourite part about visiting churches and basilicas like this one is simply admiring the architecture. It's incredible when you start looking at the level of detail involved. This is a beautiful example of stunning architecture.

When we visit this church, I can feel the sacredness and holiness of the place. I was mesmerized by the beautiful structure inside. It was just an amazing experience.

Between 1672 and 1683, this beautiful church was built for a community in need of a place to reunite and practice their religion. Ever since, Notre-Dame Basilica is a place where people can go and feel inspired by the beauty of the establishment. The architecture is breath taking and just visiting for a few minutes can really remind you of the important things in life.
