Old Port of Montreal is located opposite of the Saint-Laurent river, it extends over two kilometers south of Old Montreal from McGill Street to the centerline of Amherst who do makes no but where the clock tower can be seen. To the west, there is the Alexandra Pier Iberville Passenger Terminal which hosts larger boats.

The historical Old Port offers Montrealers and visitors alike access to a wide variety of activities, including the Montréal Science Centre, with an IMAX Theatre, and the Montreal Clock Tower. It offers riverfront access for walking, cycling, roller-blading, quadricycle, pedalo and Segway rentals. It is also located at the eastern end of the Lachine Canal, which has itself been extensively refurbished as a popular destination for cycling, roller-blading and pleasure boating. Cultural events include the Festival Montréal en lumière, Igloofest and the Matsuri Japon festival.

    En été, le vieux-port est mon endroit préférer où hang out! J'adore marcher sur le bord de l'eau, manger une creme glacee et voir les touristes. Depuis qu'il y a une plage au quai de l'horloge, j'y vais tout le temps! Il y a des activités pour tous; du yoga au parc, des pédalos sur le mini lac, des resto, des galeries, et bien sur, le centre des sciences!! Leurs documentaires iMax sont des plus intéressants!!

    J'adore vraiment le Centre des sciences de Montréal, haut lieu de savoir interactif et ludique. J'aime aussi surtout aller sur le Quai Jacques Cartier pour y voir des spectacles, ou le chapiteau du Cirque du Soleil lorsqu'il y est. Et bien sûr pour participer à l'Igloofest l'hiver!
