In the busy heart of Toronto, right next to the City Hall and all the noise of the ciy, the Osgoode Hall garden, a haven of peace and quiet in the evening.
I've always like to just seat on one of the few benches to rest and enjoy some quietude.

I decided to visit Osgoode Hall since I'd found a cool book on it a few years ago, and had read up on some of the history and architecture. It was really neat to see the Hall in person. I am not sure if they offer tours, but I wish I'd gone on one if they existed. I'm headed back to TO soon, so I'll definitely make it a point to go there again!

You might never know it from the outside, but Osgoode Hall has a lovely restaurant. Open daily, it serves excellent, but traditional lunches in a spectacular setting: the original law school Library. Treat yourself to a Harry Potter-esc experience for lunch. Then visit the current library, including the 2-level library with reading tables. Not at all what you'd expect in downtown Toronto.
