Parliament Hill reminds me so much Europe. I moved from Germany to Canada a few years ago. When I first came here to Canada, I was a little surprised about the many different cultures that live here. What fascinated me was that the people were so peaceful, friendly and kind. Canada is multicultural. In Germany, some people are really rude and racist. The first time I ever visited Ottawa, I really loved it. It looked so much like German cities. Ottawa is like a combination of German cities and Toronto. The Parliament Hill reminds me of the castles we have in Germany. We have a lot of old history and old monuments. In Canada, you dont see historical monuments that often. Canada is newer. Before I visited Ottawa, I thought Canada wouldnt have anything historical and old. But Ottawa fascinated me in many ways. It is a beautiful, multicultural and diverse city. Everything here is so harmonic and peaceful. All the people come from different countries. They bring their culture to Canada. It is great to discover new cultures; their values and traditions. Since was small, I always wanted to visit Canada. It was one of my biggest dreams to come here. Germany and Canada are two totally different cultures. They have their own values and traditions. It is nice to be a part of two entirely different cultures! I feel like Parliament Hill represents all the nations of the world.

Cape Croker Park - Camping Trip

Every year we have a family camping trip. We go to various camping grounds all over Ontario. This year we went to Cape Croker Park. It is a camping ground near the lake Georgian Bay. Cape Croker Park is owned and operated by the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. From hiking the Bruce Trail to swimming in Georgian Bay, from canoeing or simply soaking up the warm atmosphere, all the people to the Cape Croker Indian Park are guaranteed their own special experience. When you camping in this park, you will experience the beauty of nature that Canada has to offer. Canada is known as the country with the most beautiful and breathtaking nature in the entire world. It is just nice to get away from the city and experience something totally new. I loved camping there. We couldn't hear any sounds at all; except the flora and fauna. Just living in nature for a week was indescribable amazing. We went for many hikes in the forests around. One day we found caves and climbed through them. When we were at the top, you could view Georgian Bay from a totally different perspective. There was so much to do in this place. This image was taken when we drove our boat out the lake. We enjoyed a typical Canadian camping trip!
