Victoria Park
Guestbook The entrance to paradiseWhere to begin? Victoria Park is central to London, ON, where I was born and raised. With an Azerbaijani background, my parents came to Canada and chose London, ON because it was known as the education city. Every summer, I go to Sunfest, biking, or walking in the park. In the Winter, I view the beautiful Christmas lights and watch the fireworks for New Years, go skating. As the Community Liaison Manager of the International Peer Guide Program at Huron University College, I bring all students to Victoria Park. The beauty is not only in the scenery and centrality to the city but also the history, named after Queen Victoria just like Victoria Hospital, as well as its connection to World War 2. Furthermore, it is not only a park of leisure, centrality, strong history, but also a place of inspiration. Last summer, I would go to the park after shadowing a Physiotherapist at CBI Physio and make deep reflections on life and where I was going. I was not only welcomed by the people of all ages passing or biking by, but the Canadian geese joining my park bench.
