The Photo Says It All guestBook Guestbook   Feb 16, 2015

My family lived in the Philippines and we moved to Canada when I was at the age of nine. My father made it a tradition for us to go on road trips every summer. We've explored many famous parks around British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Out of all of the photos, this one's my favourite. I took this photo of one of the spots we went to. Captured at Moraine Lake found within the Canadian Rocky Mountains within Banff National Park, I think this photo captivated the beauty of Canada's treasures and the impact it has on me. At an early age I found that I love nature. I would go around the parks when I was young and pick flowers. I'd find ways, at the age of 10, to nag my family on how to make eco-friendly decisions around the house. It was these road trips that shaped my identity today, I'm currently in the process of perusing a career in Environmental Engineering. When I'm down or upset about something, I like to go on nature walks, hikes, and bike rides down to the beach. It's something about seeing nature, and the ocean that instantly puts me in a better mood. I sit and will continue to sit in awe at the amazing natural views living in Canada. It's a beautiful thing when something so natural has the power to inspire you and make you proud.
