The Big old Clock guestBook Guestbook   Feb 16, 2015

Growing up my mother always loved to bring us to the Gastown Steam Clock. Sometimes I wonder if she was doing it on purpose to bring us at the quarter hour when the steam escaped and loud music came out just to scare us. As child it was like a big old monster but as I grew up I started to realize the beauty of this antique clock.

Sea to Sky Highway - Sea to Sky guestBook Guestbook   Feb 16, 2015

Me and many others are given the gift of a beautiful scenery every time we come home to Vancouver using the Sea to Sky Highway. Weather it be from one of the numerous hikes available, a snow trip up in whistler, or visiting family up in Squamish. The Sea to sky Highway is always there to connect us. The beauty of BC and most places in Canada, is the ability to escape the city in less then an hour drive. When I am feeling overwhelmed or in a rut I like to let loose on the slops. It is the most freeing experiences when I catch jump that makes me feel as if I am flying, but then I am caught by forgiving powder. When our family feels disconnected we can always go on hike. Hikes give us the opportunity to reconnect by talking, without any distractions but the beautiful nature. I have learned a lot about respecting nature and the diverse communities that exist in Canada. In particular I have had the opportunity to learn about the first Nations. First Nations are often connected to nature and therefore have many beautiful values and contributions to the destination we experience when traveling on the Sea to Sky highway. All these amazing experiences are only made so accessible because of the sea to sky highway.
