Athabasca Ice Glacier in Alberta, Canada, Rocky Mountains Guestbook   Mar 12, 2016

During a family vacation to Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada, we visited the Athabasca Glacier. This glacier is apart of the Columbia Ice-field. In the last 125 years the glacier has lost nearly half of its volume due to the increased warm weather during cold seasons and even warmer weather during the warm seasons. This glacier is one example of the impacts of global warming that the country needs to take notice of.
