Guestbook Gitchi-gami (Be a great sea)

My dad and I took a trip to Thunder Bay in November of 2013. We had a 12-hour drive ahead of us back home to Sudbury, but we made a quick pit-stop at a small beach cove off of the highway. The wind was strong enough to make my eyes water and the waves rolled in at high speeds, licking my sneakers as I tried to get as close to the water as I could without getting completely drenched. Standing in front of this massive body of water, with all of my senses going into overdrive, I have never felt so at peace with myself; no cell phone reception, no Wifi, no interruptions, no worries. Just my tiny self, a soggy pair of shoes, and a hunger for what lays ahead.
