The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is among the world’s leading museums of natural history and world cultures. In combining a universal museum of cultures with that of natural history, the ROM offers a unique experience for their visitors.

Two ghosts inhabit different parts of the museum. One is the original director of the ROM, Charles Trick Currelly, whose apparition has been seen wearing a nightshirt and wandering the East Asiatic collections. Staff have reported strange occurrences in this gallery and some have seen the ghost themselves. The other ghost is that of a little girl dubbed Celeste, whose sad little spectre would sit in the McLaughlin Planetarium watching the shows. As Colombo points out in his book, Haunted Toronto, since the planetarium has been closed one wonders what's happened with little Celeste.

Gotta get through the dinos and the other prehistoric fossils first, but go deeper into the museum after. The Far East collection is beautiful, and as a history nerd I loved the Early Modern arms & armour!

As a student, I have the chance to visit the Royal Ontario Museum for free every Tuesday, and That is an incredible opportunity!

I love the history side, the rocks and the dinosaurs. The architecture is for me as important as the content!

The Royal Museum of Toronto is a small but very informative one. The best expositions deal with Canadian Indians, their traditions, clothing, hardware, etc. Second best is the section on world peoples, which shows the same features in a nutshell. There sections on Canadian history, dinosaurs, and other animals
