Many of the historic buildings are made of sandstone. Why is this?
Sandstone is more fire resistant than the previous wooden structures. No one knows. Sandstone looks nicer than limestone.

There are a lot of restaurants on Stephen Avenue Mall but the art galleries are great. My favorite gallery here is The Art Gallery of Calgary. But I also like to stroll on Stephen Avenue Mall to look at stores, people and restaurants

The Bow located in Calgary is a building that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but represents Canadians around the world. The building houses major oil and gas companies that fuel our strong economy. These companies are the foundation of Canada and create a strong connection between other countries throughout the world. This is why buildings such as The Bow should make anyone throughout the nation feel proudly Canadian.
