Originally opened in the 1960's, Calgary's science centre has been totally reimagined to ignite a love of science and technology among children and the broader public. The new, 61 000 square metre science centre is located conveniently beside the Calgary Zoo, creating a true destination for the entire family. The new facility includes experiential learning room, theatres, classrooms, and outdoor education spaces. The science centre is a non-profit, governed by a volunteer board.
Telus Spark offers a wide variety of programming for children and adults. Summer camps, 'adults only nights', school programs, and professional development are just some of the many opportunities offered to the community.
