Terry Fox went where most people will never go. After he was diagnosed with cancer, instead of feeling sorry for himself, he defied the odds and began to run across Canada. He didn't run for himself but for the others that were facing the same fate that he ultimately faced. Helping others before helping yourself and facing live's challenges head on is what being Canadian is all about.
