Mission

Together with the Calgary Police Service, we deliver relevant and captivating content, provoking youth to confront the issues of their time, make positive life choices and become responsible citizens in their communities.

Vision

A safer community exists through the informed choices, empowerment and greater resilience of our youth.

The only socially responsible "museum"
of it's kind in North America.

Youthlink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre educates youth about crime and its consequences, the role of police in society, and demonstrates how fulfilling tomorrows are built on sound lifestyle choices today.

Issue-based topics that are fun and interactive are presented in exhibits and displays and on this website – providing a springboard for parents and educators to begin discussions with their children about sensitive and timely topics such as Internet safety, how to handle bullies, how to say no to peer pressure involving drugs and alcohol, and how to recognize the many faces of exploitation and abuse.

Through school field trips and visits by youth organizations such as boy scouts and girl guides, more than 140,000 young people have benefited from the Interpretive Centre’s exhibits and programs. A devoted volunteer core of 80, representing a cross section of the community, has been facilitating and serving our visitors for ten years.
