One of coolest facts about The Carlu (Eaton’s 7th Floor) is that almost all of the furnishings in the round room are surviving originals. Which is really rare these days because I mean how many times do you get to walk into a room and be surrounded by walls and furnishings that have been there for over 83 years! That’s more than half of Canada’s age! It’s like walking into a little time capsule of culture and history! Also the Auditorium is incredible, especially when you think about the fact that legendary musicians such as Glenn Gould have performed on that very stage many times! The Carlu is in my eyes an important part of Canadian history and I would most definitely recommend anyone to go and visit it or even hold an event on the exciting 7th floor!
