The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, located in Kleinburg, Ontario, offers its visitors a unique experience. Renowned for collecting exclusively Canadian art, the McMichael permanent collection consists of almost 6,000 artworks by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven and their contemporaries, First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and other artists who have made a contribution to the development of Canadian art.
Situated on 100 acres of forested land, the McMichael also features a network of outdoor trails, a sculpture garden, and the Artists’ Cemetery where six members of the Group of Seven are buried. A diverse selection of works from the permanent collection is always on display, as well as a full schedule of special exhibitions.
