I visited the gallery when I was in high school and it was a great experience! I loved the photography collection they had on display - there were stunning portraits. All of the art was beautiful. I like how secluded the gallery felt as well - you drive through woods to get to the building, which itself looks like a cabin in the woods. I also loved the gift shop - they had some really unique and whimsical earrings that I still wear and love to this day.

The inspirational beauty of natural forest/wild life mixed in with some of the most outstanding art imaginable. The McMichael art gallery, just in the heart of Kleinburg, Ontario, is one of those hidden gems that has so much to be appreciated for. Starting off with things as simple as the staff, as you walk throughout the different galleries they are always there to support, and it's never a dull moment, there is always art workshops and trail tours that brings out your inner artist. With a wide variety of paintings, photography, sculptures and anything in between, the gallery meets and satisfies all of the artistic minds. Overall, to think of this place as only a gallery is one thing, but to think of it as being once a home and now a landmark filled with art from around the world almost right next to my house, id say it's rare, and I'm just very lucky to have it.
