A group of friends and I went to the park on the very first day we moved to the city. It was a great way to get a view of the city and to try to spot landmarks.

We also got very lost (which is quite easy to do considering the size of the park). Overall, it was a very nice day -- we are so lucky to have a such a beautiful (and large) park at the heart of our city.

This is a unique perspective of the landmark Mount Royal in Montreal, Quebec. Many people have seen it from the streets, and experienced the view from the top, but the view from the roof of a small student apartment building in the plateau is a different story. You see the mountain as a part of the city instead of standing apart from it. This is the story of the local people.

This picture was taken on top of Mount Royal in Montreal, Quebec just after two girls had finished doing there ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Raising awareness for a just cause, I think is very Canadian. Generally as a culture we cultivate acceptance and friendship. We are not complacent and stand up for the things that matter to us. So I think these empty buckets on top of Mount Royal, overlooking the city is very symbolic of who we are as a nation.
