Peggy's Cove
Beauty of Bagpipes Guestbook Mar 8, 2015I love Peggy's Cove! It's beautiful and reflective and every time I've been, there's been a man playing bagpipes there. I don't know why I love it so much! It really adds to the atmosphere and you begin to understand why you're in 'New Scotland'.

Niagara Falls
Never Done With Niagra Guestbook Mar 8, 2015My family and I have been to Niagara Falls more times than I can count and I can't seem to get bored of it! There's always something fun to do whether it's going to a haunted house or checking out the Hershey's store. I love being able to see where Canada and the USA meet (and it doesn't hurt to know that our side is prettier). But my favourite part is simply seeing the Falls. I've been in the summer and winter and even though the weather changes, the Falls never stop being so majestic. I can look out at them for ages and not be bored. It's such a landmark for Canada and being there looking out at it makes me proud to be a Canadian.

1531|43.7056390576|-79.2350292206|3 - Bluffer\'s Beauty Guestbook Mar 8, 2015My family and I went up to Bluffer's Park for the anniversary of my grandfather's passing this summer and it was the most connected I have ever been to a Canadian landmark. We tossed flowers into the lake to commemorate him and as they floated away, I felt reassured that he would always be with us. We tossed the flowers as our own interpretation of an Indian ceremony. By doing it differently, we had turned it in to a family tradition that we could associate with both our Indian and Canadian cultures. Bluffer's Park is a beautiful, tucked away gem that anyone, especially people living in the GTA, can appreciate but after this summer, it will always be one of my favourite places to visit in Canada. This is because it brought me closer to both my cultures, as well as my grandfather.
